Originally from Asia, where it is revered and represents an offering to the gods, it appeared in Seville, Spain, around the 12th-13th centuries. like most citrus fruits, during the rule of the Arabs, excellent travellers. Probably the greatest among citrus fruits, I love grapefruit for its bitterness; bitterness is for me part of the smells intelligent, unlike the sweet which I find easy and uninteresting. This is perhaps because of my Italian origins since that amaro in Italy is celebrated in many drinks.
